Unable to grab a license from the License Server

If you are unable to grab a license from a license server you may want to check the following:


  • Has the License Client and Visionary Render been granted full permissions to communicate with the server? This could include granting Visionary Render and the License Client full firewall permissions and admin privileges
  • Is the machine hosting the license server on the same network? You can test network communication between two machines by pinging them. If the machines are unable to communicate a license can not be grabbed
  • Are there available licenses? You can check if there are still licenses available by checking the Seats column on the license server and comparing it to the Seats In Use column
